Every second counts when it comes to saving a life. That’s why our centres are proud to be supporting RLSS UK’s Restart a Heart Day, a campaign dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of CPR and giving everyone the confidence to act in an emergency.

Restart a Heart Day is taking place on Thursday 16th October, and aims to equip as many people as possible with the skills and knowledge to perform CPR.

Did you know: A staggering 80% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests take place in the home. CPR is a skill for everyone, yet almost half of UK adults (43 per cent) have never learned these techniques. Every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces the chance of survival from cardiac arrest by 10%.

This year, we’re getting involved by running a range of activities across our centres to help raise awareness and give our community the chance to learn vital lifesaving skills.

Each centre will be offering something a little different — from CPR demonstrations and interactive sessions to information stands and staff-led awareness activities.

Whether you join us for a short demo, chat with our team, or simply want to find out more, your participation could one day make a life-saving difference.

Why it matters
Every year in the UK, thousands of people suffer an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, but survival rates remain low. Quick action and CPR from a bystander can double or even triple someone’s chances of survival. By taking just a few minutes to learn how to respond, you could help save a life.

So come along, get involved, and help us spread the message:
Everyone can learn CPR. Everyone can help restart a heart.
